"They found the original sash profiles at 9 a.m. and had glass in the frames by 3 p.m."

The living room of a Victorian terrace — original box-sash windows, putty cracked since the 1980s, single glazing that had fogged so badly the garden was a suggestion rather than a view. Three other glaziers had declined the job, citing the non-standard pulley weights and the depth of the original rebates. We received the inquiry on a Tuesday.

Diane KowalskiPRJ-2025-041

"I'd been quoted 'not possible' twice and 'six-week lead time' once. These people sourced the correct 4mm horticultural glass, matched the glazing bars to the period specification, and completed all four windows in a single day. I didn't know glaziers like this still existed."
Diane KowalskiHomeowner, Highbury, London

Outcome

Turnaround: 1 day from survey to completion. All four windows passing draught test.

4 heritage sash windows restored in 1 working day

Commercial·PRJ-2025-038·September 2025

"We manage 62 properties. We've never had a glazier who could match our SLA on the same day we called."

A ground-floor retail unit in a mixed-use block — toughened plate glass, 2,400mm × 1,600mm, shattered by a reversing delivery vehicle at 6:47 a.m. on a Thursday. The tenant, a pharmacy, was due to open at 8:30 a.m. with a dispensing queue already forming outside. Our facilities coordinator had the job logged, quoted, and accepted by 7:15 a.m.

Marcus OseiPRJ-2025-038

"The crew arrived with the correct toughened unit already cut — they'd been running the glass since 6:50. By 8:25 the shopfront was secure, the tenant opened five minutes late, and I had a signed completion certificate in my inbox before I'd finished my second coffee. That's what a retainer relationship looks like."
Marcus OseiFacilities Director, Harrington Group (62 managed properties)

Outcome

Turnaround: 98 minutes from emergency call to signed completion.

98-min emergency response, retail unit open same morning

Emergency·PRJ-2025-029·July 2025

"At 2 a.m. we had a flooded commercial lobby and shattered plate glass. By dawn, the building was secure and our loss adjuster was signing off."

A burst pipe in the ceiling of a seven-storey office building's lobby had sent 400 litres of water cascading through a curtain-wall panel. The thermal shock shattered the 12mm toughened unit. By the time building management reached us at 1:58 a.m., the lobby was open to the street, the security system was partially compromised, and a wet-floor liability clock was running. We carry an out-of-hours emergency line staffed by qualified glaziers, not a call centre.

Priya NairPRJ-2025-029

"I've processed hundreds of emergency glass claims. The usual story is 'boarded up overnight, replaced in three days.' PaneReviews had a full toughened replacement in the frame by 5:40 a.m. — before the first employees arrived. The loss was contained, the claim was clean, and I've added them to our preferred supplier schedule."
Priya NairSenior Claims Handler, Meridian Insurance Underwriters

Outcome

Turnaround: 11 hours from emergency call to sign-off. Zero boarding, full replacement.

11-hour call-to-sign-off, no overnight boarding required

Heritage·PRJ-2025-014·March 2025

"Listed building, conservation officer on-site, and a glazier who knew the difference between cylinder glass and float. That's rare."

A Grade II listed former mill conversion in West Yorkshire — nine original Crittal steel windows, each requiring hand-cut 3mm cylinder glass to satisfy the conservation area planning conditions. The architect's specification ran to four pages. Two glaziers had already walked off the job after failing the conservation officer's sample inspection. We were brought in at week six of an eighteen-week programme.

Tom BridgerPRJ-2025-014

"The conservation officer was on-site the morning they installed the first three lights. She asked them to explain the glass specification unprompted. They could. That's the moment I knew we had the right people. Every subsequent inspection passed first time, and we finished the glazing package two days ahead of programme."
Tom BridgerProject Manager, Bridger & Wren General Contractors

Outcome

All 9 Crittal windows passed conservation inspection first time. Programme recovered.

9 conservation-grade windows, 100% first-pass inspection rate
